Description
Daihatsu Copen L880K Front Bumper 3D Scan
Source part
Daihatsu Copen L880K front bumper (OEM)
This dataset contains exterior surface geometry of the OEM front bumper from a Daihatsu Copen L880K, captured as a reference model for front-end development and exterior design work.
The bumper was scanned on the vehicle and post-processed to isolate the bumper geometry only. Two versions are included to suit different workflows and design approaches.
Dataset overview
The dataset is supplied as STL mesh data and is aligned to the XYZ axis, allowing immediate use in CAD environments.
Two files are included:
Front bumper with indicator lights
Captured with the indicator units in place, providing reference of the bumper in its assembled state.
Front bumper without indicator lights
A version with the indicator areas cleared, allowing easier development of modified designs or integration of alternative lighting.
Data specifications
Mesh density
Approximately 2 million polygons per file
Dimensional resolution
Approximately ±0.5 mm
File format
STL mesh
Model orientation
Aligned to the XYZ coordinate system for direct use in CAD software such as Fusion 360 and similar environments.
Scan coverage
The dataset includes:
- Full OEM front bumper geometry
- Upper and lower surfaces
- Indicator regions in both configurations
- Overall surface transitions and curvature
Only the bumper geometry is included. Adjacent components have been removed during post-processing.
Vehicle configuration
The vehicle was fitted with a front tow hook on the nearside lower section of the bumper at the time of scanning.
This may slightly intersect the bumper geometry in that area and should be considered during use.
Mesh condition
The mesh has been cleaned to remove most scanning artefacts whilst maintaining the original captured surface geometry.
The underside of the bumper may contain a small amount of reduced detail in certain areas due to limited scan visibility. This is minor and does not affect typical use as reference geometry.
The data is consistent across both files and suitable for accurate reference and development work.
The surface has not been artificially smoothed, preserving the original captured form.
Typical applications
This dataset is intended for workflows such as:
• Development of front lips and splitters
• Designing modified or replacement bumpers
• Integration of alternative lighting solutions
• Reverse engineering and CAD reference
• Digital modelling and visualisation
File delivery
After purchase, a download link will be sent via email providing access to the dataset.
The download link is single-use and can only be downloaded once. If the original purchaser loses their files, a replacement download link can be requested at any time.
Usage conditions
The purchaser may use the dataset for internal design work and commercial product development.
However:
• The scan files themselves cannot be redistributed
• The dataset may not be resold, shared or transferred
• Any portion of the scan data may not be published or redistributed
Products developed using this dataset may be manufactured and sold.
